The belkin bag is fantastic for carrying around a laptop and a small amount of papers. If you have a lot of paper/documents to carry, it might be a tight squeeze in this bag. However, it’s super comfortable to wear around, and it’s reasonably stylish too. Just beware if you have a larger laptop – it will definitely get tight in there.

I loved this bag when I first got it a few months ago, with one reservation: there is not quite enough space to put books and a lunch in there. I now have an additional reservation: the back seam on the bottom is only stitched through once and has now begun to split. While easy to fix, this seems a bit lame after only a few months of use.
Details on the bag:
-The walls of the bag are very stiff, making book insertion and removal difficult if you are taking a lot of stuff with you. this would be fine if there were just a tiny bit more room–the stiffness helps protect your stuff
-the computer sleeve is removable and has a compartment for a power adapter; unfortunately it’s designed for the long, dell-style adapter and not the blocky kind macs use. It is also oddly-placed inside the sleeve with the computer but only attached to the front of the sleeve, making things a bit awkward
-lining is very soft and padding is substantial to protect computer
-lower pocket on front is pretty useless, but upper pocket on front is super handy, as is the small bus pass pocket on the side
-loops for water bottles are too low and bottle ends up flying around when you walk
-color is nice and does not show stains
-bag seems waterproof thus far
-bag has inner lining pockets for pens, phone, etc. (3 pens, 2 small phone-size pockets, 1 larger ipod or wallet size pocket)
-zippers are sturdy
Keep the price in mind when considering this–for $35, this is a super hot deal if you don’t mind a few flaws in the design. Mostly, I’m glad something like this exists because the messenger-style bags were killing my back. (and other similar styles were too heavy or not waterproof) The tote style pulls on one shoulder, but at least you don’t get the twisting pressure on your spine as with the messengers.
