The compartment for the computer is completely padded and the dividers in the zipper compartments are great for keeping things accessible and safe. For example, you can keep your keys in one and your cell phone in another and you don't have to worry about scratches on your phone. <br />This particular bag that I chose was a pretty bright color (but that's what I was going for). However, this same bag comes in other fabric designs so you can look good and know that your laptop is safe. It's the perfect size for me but keep in mind it is for a smaller laptop. I carry my portable printer (Canon) in it as well.
