So it will NOT fit with the higher capacity batteries (9 cell battery) that stick out of the actual laptop case and only fits the standard batteries (6 cell battery). The material is quite soft and will protect well against dirt, scratches, and smaller bumps but won't withstand any strong impact though. After I had it in a suitcase during a flight the material permanently compressed at some places where it was pressed against sharp edges...but better the laptotp sleeve than the laptop...
